AMA Studio presents: Self- Defense Training Camp exclusively on Kinect™
SAN FRANCISCO – October 4th, 2011 –
Today, Ubisoft announced the development of Self- Defense Training Camp exclusively on Kinect™ for Xbox 360®video game and entertainment system. As the first title of its kind, Self- Defense Training Camp helps players develop the self-confidence needed to serenely face common dangerous situations, like walking home late at night or being alone in a secluded parking garage. Players are also taught how to develop their athletic abilities in order to better navigate and escape dangerous situations. Self- Defense Training Camp will release worldwide on November 8, 2011.
Self- Defense Training Camp combines both fitness workouts and self-defense drills into four primary categories – technique, stamina, composure and reflexes – critical to successful self-protection. Using Kinect’s innovative tracking technology, players are given immediate feedback on their movements, which helps make learning the basics of self-defense easier for inexperienced players. Self-defense techniques, taught by an experienced, real-life self-defense coach, teach players to protect themselves in physically compromising situations.
Players will get in shape as they learn new skills with fitness routines inspired by both kickboxing and martial arts. They will also improve their reflexes with a collection of fun mini-games. To help players sharpen their minds as well as their bodies, Self- Defense Training Camp also incorporates meditative forms of exercise; a collection of soothing Tai Chi exercises instruct users on how to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
